The Community Conversation format is designed to give residents an opportunity to speak directly with candidates in an open, respectful setting. Attendees will be able to ask questions, share concerns, and discuss issues affecting daily life across the western Upper Peninsula.
Mapps is a lifelong Yooper, U.S. Army and Michigan National Guard veteran, and longtime public servant who has worked at the Iron Mountain VA Medical Center and represented federal employees as a union leader. He will offer brief opening remarks before taking questions from both in‑person and online participants.
